One of the neat things that comes naturally to Project Sanctuary is to take as a starting point a dream.

You go right back and re-experience it, then you interact in there just as you would with any Project Sanctuary habitat - with integrity, with fun, and with volition. Dreams, and especially recurring dreams or dreams which haunt the dreamer, are MESSAGES, of course - we're supposed to do SOMETHING about them, change something, TAKE SOME ACTION.

PS allows us to lucid dream anytime we choose to do that and interact directly with the dream, and the messenger of self who sent the dream. Here's an example of dream changing that is really good fun. Read on!

Silvia Hartmann writes: Three poems, three Project Sanctuary experiences, three habitats - different places in time and space that one may return to and explore further, which may become base camps in foreign lands and which may well hold much magic. This is a Project Sanctuary story from 1998. That's quite a while back and at a time, when the central sanctuary had been fully established and all sorts of challenges and problems in the environment surrounding it had already been resolved.

So this story is about finding out more about the wider realms of this personal universe, and this flying mission, involving a desert with a poisoned oasis, a lost caravan and a Golden City, was quite a revelation ...

This is what a 14 year old boy who isn't that interested in metaphor, creativity or therapy managed to do stone cold with this Project Sanctuary game (details below).

What he found has now been used by many as a way to calm "Ashtars" - a codename Project Players have for their spirit selves.

The young gentleman was further inspired to produce a piece of digital art to give an impression of the Fostris habitat. Excellent!

I've been collecting space backgrounds for a while. Well, everyone needs some sort of a hobby ... But anyway, I've put them all into a collection directory. This also includes some of the totally mindblowing Hubble deep space galaxies photographs. If you ever feel your problems are overwhelming, go look at those. Ferengi are a species from StarTrek that was particularly highlighted in Deep Space 9. Their religion is commerce and their society is determined by profit.

The Ferengi believe that the universe is held together by the Great Material Continuum, also known as the Great River. The Ferengi believe that each part of the universe has too much of one thing, but not enough of another, and it is through the continual flow of the Great River that wants and needs can be fulfilled, if one navigates the River with sufficient entrepreneurial skill. Not at all far away from here, there lived a very bad boy.

Do you remember when you were small, perhaps you made a wishlist at some time. Perhaps you wrote to Father Christmas, or perhaps you just made one on a scrap of paper just for yourself one day.

Perhaps you stood in front of an ancient wishing well and closed your eyes and threw your coin, and then another, and then another?

This is a really good fun pattern to allow groups or friends to trade "resources" of the magical kind.

Two people can play this quite happily, the more, the merrier. But of course, one can also just attend an astral bring and buy - there are many across the planes and the layers :-)

Here is an interesting scenario - someone being in a position to do something but they are unable to do so because of past limiting decisions to the contrary.

Now of course, there are many ways to treat this, but this Project Sanctuary occurence which happened spontaneously and in real time with a person tonight was so moving and elegant, it deserves to be retold in case someone else might like to try this or something like it. 

There is also another and rather mysterious aspect to this story, but more of that later. Let's start at the beginning. 

I'm sure you all heard about Mr Tesla and his amazing machines, that he built and ran in his mind in quantum time, then went back to check and measure which parts had worn out and when he came to build them for "real" they functioned beautifully, the problems having long been found and ironed out in the mindspace trial runs.

I've heard it too and just put it aside, as something Mr Tesla could do, being a genius, but not available to me as an ordinary human being. 

But actually that's not so. 

I was standing in the demon bar, when this lapsed catholic came sidling over.

As they tend to be, he was pallid under his sweat. He tugged at his shirt collar and said nervously, "Hot here, isn't it."

Nanna writes: I am walking on a path that weaves its way deeper into a large pine forest. The path is scarcely visible. I am mostly walking on wonderful, soft, spongy, green moss. It is heaven under my bare feet.
