A man came to me and said he wanted to learn of Sanctuary.
"It sounds interesting," he said. "It's just imagination, right?"
I laughed. "Just? What do you think imagination is?"

StarFields writes: On the Project Sanctuary forum, I set a "Game of the Week" every so often. Players can, if they want to, play the game, Sanctuary style, and some will post the results of the game back to the forum. This week's game was as follows: "By whichever means you choose, travel to a different planet. Somewhere you have never been before. Let yourself be taken there and observe, do as must be done, then return. Travel broadens the mind :-) " Here are seven fascinating and very different stories about this journey, all of which illustrate some important aspects of playing Project Sanctuary nicely. And apart from that, they are fascinating stories, generated spontaneously and instantly - once you know how to play for your own personal development and creativity practice.
Starfields writes: Sometimes I feel a little bit guilty about the advantages Project Sanctuary holds for a person. Take Nanowrimo, for example - the National Novel Writing Month. It's not national, it's very international but the aim is the same: to write a novel of 50,000 words minimum in 30 days. Project Sanctuary is a form of advanced data streaming from the energy mind, for those do not know that yet, and if you have some experience with it, it can be used for a great many things, as you get to consciously set the parameters of what exactly it is you want your energy mind to do for you. In this case, the parameters were as follows: If you are looking to stimulate your imagination, open up new Sanctuary habitats or you just want to see some truly fantastic worlds fabulously rendered, then go and visit with world-renowned concept art director, illustrator and designer Philip Straub. In my opinion, he's also a traveller who can see the worlds beyond. Highly recommended!
Playing PS games, running stories and exploring habitats is a version of creativity that is structurally exactly the same as though you were writing a book, a play, a symphony, a song, a poem or a short story. Whatever it is going to be in the end, at this time, it isn't here yet.
Silvia Hartmann writes: Tonight and whilst travelling the strands of the www, I came across a wonderful site and a wonderful thing - original Chinese artwork like the beautiful sky dragon here by wonderfully creative Chinese artists, discovered and brokered by Gary, who is in love with and collects Chinese art and has travelled outside the normal trade routes extensively. What I particularly liked about this were the human stories about the artists involved.
Silvia Hartmann writes: To celebrate my 46th birthday, I have a brand new exhibition of abstract modern art online from August 23rd, 2005: The 23 Exhibition by StarFields Lots of fun colours, fun shapes and things to fire the imagination. Project Sanctuary players, find the Treasure Map and take a look - where do you think the treasure is buried ...? And what might be the scale of that map ...?
SFX writes: When Project Sanctuary gets going, we have EXPERIENCES. These are "other than" simply imaginings; they are autogenic experiences whilst awake which are very much related to, and feel like, lucid dreams. You could call them visions, if you wanted; the key thing is that these experiences have a numinous quality and the person who has them, KNOWS that they are of a different order than just visualisation, fantasy or day dreaming.
StarFields writes: Three poems, three Project Sanctuary experiences, three habitats - different places in time and space that one may return to and explore further, which may become base camps in foreign lands and which may well hold much magic. In the second poem, there is a portal to a very distant place - "The other side of morning". You can listen to it here and the texts are there as well. Enjoy!
Not at all far away from here, there lived a very bad boy.
Silvia Hartmann writes: In my travels around the web, I come across some really interesting people who do wonderful and creative things. I'm pleased that Project Sanctuary Portal gives me a place to showcase such sites properly rather than just with a tedious link. So, and to kick off the new section of "Creative People On The Web", here's Steven Brooke, author, singer, musician, producer and artist.
